Director of Marketing and Customer Experience

Urban Acres is a rapidly growing Dallas-based produce co-op and farm store seeking a new Director of Marketing and Customer Experience.  The new team member will direct all marketing and promotional efforts, including digital marketing, events, and customer experience, and will have ultimate responsibility for customer retention and growth.

This is a great position for a strong candidate passionate about local food and with demonstrated experience in marketing and communications in college activities or jobs.  Additionally, candidates should have a bachelors degree in marketing or other related field.  Early morning and Saturday work is consistently required.

Customer Service Rep

  • Are you predictable, consistent and highly accountable?

Urban Acres Market is seeking a Customer Service Representative to begin on January 2, 2013.  Urban Acres is a rapidly growing Dallas-based produce co-op and farm store.  The Urban Acres Customer Service Rep (CSR) will respond to all customer service inquiries in a helpful, timely and efficient manner.  They must accurately maintain the database of customers and support tickets.  New customers will be called and walked through the process and benefits of membership, as well as added to the database.  The CSR will follow written processes and will need to prioritize urgent requests.  A methodical and patient approach to both customer interaction and data entry must be taken.  The CSR must be friendly and helpful.  Excellent written and verbal communications skills a must.   Once trained, the CSR will need to work independently using the tools provided.  The CSR may work remotely from a quiet location with Internet connectivity, and consistent daytime and evening hours totaling 25-30 per week are desired.

Store Team Member

  • Are you passionate about local, organic, and sustainable food?

Urban Acres is a Dallas-based market that specializes in local and organic food as well as delivering co-op style produce to multiple locations across the metroplex.  We are looking to add a 15-25 hour per week part-time member to our store team. This is primarily a weekend position, so applicants MUST be able to consistently work Thursday-Sunday.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Check out store customers and manage farm stand pickups
  • Be familiar with our products and what makes them special
  • Organize and stock products
  • Create displays and arrange store
  • Clean and sweep store
  • Help manage inventory
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills Required:

  • Previous retail experience preferred
  • Passion for local and healthy food
  • Ability to work well on a team
  • Ability to work early mornings and weekends is a must
  • Basic computer skills- mac experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and to complete tasks without constant oversight
  • Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs
