Chef Nicole’s Easy Basil Pesto

Local, fresh basil from Schertz, TX will be included in the co-op style produce shares this Saturday.  So we asked our gourmet Chef Nicole Van Camp, who makes all our prepared foods at the store, to share her easy basil pesto recipe with you.  Here it is, in her very own handwriting.

Don’t be surprised if this recipe – which takes about 5 minutes, tops – makes you seem like a gourmet chef in front of your family and friends!

This pesto would be great with freshly-baked Empire Baking Co. bread from Urban Acres 🙂  Or use it as a sauce over cooked potatoes or chicken.  So many possibilities!
