Shelled Peas

Buttery Peas

  • 1 lb of local fresh Shelled Peas
  • 4 cups of Water
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • Sea Salt
  • Cracked Pepper

Put water and peas into a pot and turn to high. Once it comes to a boil, then bring heat to medium low and add butter and pepper. Let it cook low and slow for at least 30 minutes or until the peas are tender.

Season with salt to taste and enjoy!

We love serving the buttery peas in a bowl with all of the juice because it’s delicious. Other options are to add cut pieces of bacon into the peas when cooking for more flavor or use veggie stock instead of water.
